Introduction to works on language and culture.
Throughout the course of the semester writings on the topics of oppression, community, and indifference have deeply impacted my perspective of the world and how language has, and continues, to shape society as we know it. This brief essay details the way the language presented in class has shaped the complexity of my thinking regarding society. As a whole, the collection investigates the intersectionality of language, emotion, politics, and the Black community.
